It is to note that total surface area of the earth is more or less 510,000,000 sq. km. Its 70.8% is the total water surface area. It means nearly 360,000,000 sq. km area is the total water surface area.

#1 PACIFIC :
Pacific Ocean is the largest one in area (60,060,700 sq. mile) and depth ( 10,924 km) also. The countries that are bordering the Pacific Ocean are as follows : China, Russia, North Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam etc from East Asia, Australia, New Zealand etc from Australia, Canada, USA, Chile, Costa Rica etc from North and South America.
#2 ATLANTIC :
It is in the 2nd spot in area (29,637,900 sq. mile) and depth (8,605 km) both. It is surrounded by the continents mainly Europe, Africa in the east and N.America, S.America in the west. Also the most discussed topic of ocean 'Bermuda Triangle' exists in this ocean.
#3 INDIAN :
Indian Ocean comes in the 3rd position with its area ( 26,469,900 sq. mile) and depth ( 7,258 km) both. Is is surrounded by the continents Asia in the north, Australia in the south-east, Africa in the west.
#4 SOUTHERN :
Southern Ocean is in the north of Antarctica. Though its area ( 7,848,300 sq. mile) is not so large but depth ( 7,235 km) comparing with others is about equal.
#5 ARCTIC :
Arctic Ocean is in the north of Russia. It is in the 5th position as its total area is 5,427,000 sq mile and depth is 4,665 km.
